California Man Bitten By Rattlesnake He Picked Up For Photo: Local Media

A Southern California man who grabbed a poisonous snake to posture for a photo was seriously harmed when the reptile bit him on the hand, a Los Angeles TV slot reported. 
Alex Gomez, 36, was nibbled on Monday by the 4-foot (1.2-meter) rattler in a field at his family's farm in Lake Elsinore, a group around 60 miles (100 km) southeast of Los Angeles, as indicated by Channel KCBS which demonstrated a photo of the man holding the snake around his neck. 


Alex Gomez's mom, Deborah, told KCBS on Tuesday that her child may lose his hand on account of the chomp twisted to the limit. The man's hand swelled up after the chomp, and he was taken to a nearby doctor's facility and treated with antibody venom, as indicated by the station. 

"I'm stunned that he would have that thing around his neck," she told the station. "It could've bit his neck, and that would have been it. That is simply being a simpleton." 

She couldn't be gone after remark on Wednesday. Diamondbacks, whose chomps can be lethal, are found in numerous parts of California. The crest season for clatter snake nibbles, which happen around 800 times each year in California, is from April to October, state authorities say.
