Fanning Hails ‘Miracle’ Shark Escape And ‘Warrior’ Mate Julian

SYDNEY: Australian surfing champion Mick Fanning Tuesday called his departure from a shark assault a "supernatural occurrence" and promised to come back to the waves, while paying tribute to "warrior" mate Julian Wilson for hurrying to offer assistance.
 The 34-year-old three-time best on the planet battled off an extensive shark amid the last warmth of a world visit occasion at Jeffreys Sound in South Africa's Eastern Cape territory on Sunday in emotional scenes shot live the world over.

Wilson played down his response, calling Fanning "an incredible good example". 

"When I understood the threat and what was going on, I couldn't arrive sufficiently brisk," he said in Sydney, including that Fanning going up against the shark impelled him on. 

"It could be the thing that gave me the boldness to simply set out toward him. You know, to see that he simply turned on something that was such a great amount of greater than him."
