Miandad Urges Pakistan To Chase Consistency

KARACHI: Previous skipper Javed Miandad Thursday encouraged Pakistan to concentrate on consistency after their one-day arrangement win away to Sri Lanka. 
Pakistan pounded the hosts by seven wickets in the fourth one-day worldwide in Colombo on Wednesday to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in front of the last match in Colombo on Sunday. 


The win supports Pakistan's possibilities of fitting the bill for the 2017 Champions Trophy in Britain however Miandad said the group must proceed onward from the irregular flightiness of the past. 

"Our group is solid now yet we require reliable take a shot at it in light of the fact that we ought to have a place with the main four. Nine-eight in the rankings is not our position and for that reliable work is required," said Miandad, one of Pakistan's most noteworthy ever batsmen.

Bangladesh rose to seventh in the ICC rankings in the wake of pulverizing arrangement wins over Pakistan, India and South Africa in home one-day arrangement since April this year. 

Another previous skipper, Inzamam-ul-Haq, lauded the group's dynamism, after some strangely athletic handling helped them to triumph over Sri Lanka. 

"Pakistan have indicated they are an energetic group and has demonstrated change in each of the three offices and that is a decent sign," he said.
