DHAKA: Australia will make a beeline for Bangladesh to play two Tests in October, the first such arrangement between the countries since 2006, the Bangladesh Cricket Board reported on Sunday.
The Aussies will touch base on September 28 to play a three-day warm-up match against the Bangladesh Cricket Board's XI at Fatullah outside the capital.
Bangladesh will have Australia in the beachfront city of Chittagong for the first Test from October 9 to 13 preceding playing the second in Dhaka from October 17 to 21.
The arrangement will be the first between the countries since Australia's 2-0 triumph amid their visit in 2006.
Australia will be the fourth group to visit the cricketing minnows this year after Pakistan, India and South Africa.
Title holders Australia went to Bangladesh in 2011 to play three one-day internationals, albeit none were booked for this visit.
Plan:
Oct 3: Three-day practice match versus the Bangladesh Cricket Board's XI, Fatullah
Oct 9-13: First Test, Chittagong
Oct 17-21: Second Test, Dhaka
