First Audio Message Of New Taliban Chief Surfaces

KABUL: Taliban's new boss Mullah Akhtar Mansoor's first sound message surfaced on Saturday. In the sound recording, Mansoor calls for solidarity among the Taliban in the midst of gossipy tidbits about a break in their positions. 

In the sound recording, Mansoor distinguishes Sheik Rehmatullah and Siraj Haqqani as his appointees and says he wishes to run the Taliban pretty much as his forerunner had done. In his message he alludes to Mullah Omar's strategies, as a controlling reference point. 

In his sound message Mansoor calls for solidarity expressing that division among the positions will just satisfy the Taliban's adversaries.
