Independence Day Terror Bid Foiled In Karachi

RAWALPINDI: Security powers have busted an 'outside supported posse' and thwarted a fear offer wanted to undermine August 14 festivals in Karachi, the ISPR said Wednesday. 

As per the military's advertising wing, some high-esteem targets including the Naib Amir (vice president) in Karachi of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat, Bakht Zaman, have been caught in the insight based operation. 

The group of terrorists had been arranging the assault for quite a while and had arranged a dangerous loaded vehicle and an engine cycle which they were to explode on Youme Azadi (Freedom Day) festivities on Aug 14. 

"Amid cross examination, the captured terrorists admitted that vehicles were organized from Karachi and now they were sitting tight for suicide planes who needed to land from Afghanistan and Amir of TT Swat part in Karachi had gone to Afghanistan for the same reason," said the ISPR proclamation. 

Security offices proceeded with reconnaissance of the group for quite a long time before the operation was dispatched all the while on August 9 in Karachi and Hyderabad to capture the terrorists. 

An explosives-loaded vehicle and a bike was were likewise recuperated, said the ISPR, including that some all the more startling disclosures are normal amid investigation of the terrorists.
