Ailish Southall, who was driving along the A27 in West Sussex with her two kids, said the plane descended near them.
"We were sitting tight for it to about-face up and it didn't – it appeared to sort of split in two," she said.
"There were colossal measures of flame and we kept running from the auto to sort of stay away from the flotsam and jetsam on the grounds that we spoke the truth 15 meters away, we were directly over the street from where the mischance happened.”
