Three Dead As Train Hits Car At Level Crossing

RENNES: Three individuals were killed on Friday evening when a territorial train hit an auto on a level intersection in Normandy in northwestern France, an authority said.

The three casualties were in the auto "which appears to have ceased amidst the tracks" at Conde-sur-Huisne in the Orne locale before being hit by a Paris-bound train at 8:22 pm (1822 GMT), said appointee regent Pascal Vion.

A fourth individual, "a lady of a notable age", figured out how to escape from the vehicle before it was hit and "dragged smoldering for a few hundred meters" along the track after the effect.

None of the 34 travelers on the train, which was heading out from Le Keeps an eye on to

the French capital, were harmed.
